Manuela Reguzzoni is a member of our Association and the representative in Genoa of the National Language Teacher Association LEND –Lingua e Nuova Didattica.

After acquiring her Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures at Genoa University, she qualified as an English teacher.

In her career, she has taught several ESP varieties in a number of Italian secondary schools (Business English, English for Tourism, Electricity, Radio Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Draughtsmanship, Dental Technology, English Literature) and has become an expert in teaching ME - English for Maritime Studies (Deck Dept., Engine Dept., Skippers, Ship Designers/Naval Architects). She has taught ME at Istituto Tecnico Nautico ‘S. Giorgio’ of Genova for 24 years as well as on several professional courses and carried out research work in the ME field.
She has also worked as a teacher trainer at SSIS, University of Genova (Italy).

She has run teacher training coursed at all levels (GE, ESP and CALL/ICT), has published four textbooks and several articles and given talks and presentations at seminars both in Italy and in Britain.

She holds a Master Degree, MSc in TESP, Teaching English for Specific Purposes, (Aston University, Birmingham) and
Advanced Certificates in:

She is currently a freelance teacher trainer and writer. Her main interests lie in research in the field of ME, ESP and language teaching in general.
